Shekhar Challa, MD, has over 25 years of experience as a Board Certified Gastroenterologist, treating thousands of patients for their digestive concerns. He completed medical school in India and did all his medical training at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Passionate about delivering cutting edge solutions and educating patients, Dr. Challa works to help everyone achieve the best quality of life.

Award Winning Author
As an author, Dr. Challa was a finalist for the Ben Franklin Award and received the “Readers Preference Award” for his book: “Winning the Hepatitis C Battle.” He also is the author of “Spurn the Burn – Treat the Heat of Acid Reflux Disease.” Currently, he is working with Wiley Publications as the author of “Probiotics For Dummies.”

Involvement
Besides working as Board Certified Gastroenterologist seeing patients for digestive needs, Dr. Challa also serves as president of the Kansas Medical Clinic. He also is a board member of the non-profit group Kansas Association of Gastroenterologists, promotes a national campaign to Stop Colon Cancer Now, and is also the Medical Director of the Endoscopy Center of Topeka.
